The Membership Director is responsible for growing the Chamber’s membership base, maintaining strong relationships with current members, and supporting the Chamber’s programs and events. This role is central to the Chamber’s mission, ensuring that members receive outstanding value and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Retention

  • Drive new member acquisition through outreach, relationship-building, and marketing efforts.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to keep current members engaged and satisfied.
  • Track membership metrics and report regularly to Chamber leadership.
Programs & Events
  • Manage the Ambassador Program, ensuring ambassadors are trained, engaged, and actively supporting membership growth and retention.
  • Coordinate ribbon cuttings for new member businesses, ensuring professional and welcoming experience.
  • Assist with other Chamber events and programs as needed to support member engagement and Chamber goals.
  • Develop & adjust programs according to membership needs
Communication & Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Chamber members, responding to inquiries and providing guidance on member benefits.
  • Collaborate with Chamber leadership to identify opportunities for member engagement, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and ensure timely communication about renewals, events, and programs.
Qualifications
  • Experience in sales, membership management, business development, or community engagement preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for helping businesses and the community succeed.
  • Comfortable representing the Chamber in public settings and at events.
  • Understand and evaluate metrics pertaining to existing and future members & programs
Work Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time, 40+ hours per week.
  • Paid vacation: 2 weeks annually.
  • Base salary range: $52,000–$58,000 per year, with potential incentive pay based on new member acquisition and retention (as outlined in the Chamber’s incentive plan).
